Apple iPhone Battery Replacement Program 2018
Following Apple's recent announcement, Compu b are happy to now offer an iPhone battery replacement at the reduced fee of €29.00. This program is valid until December 31st 2018. Below we have highlighted some of the essential information you need to know in order to avail of the program.
The following range of iPhone are eligible for replacement under the program through our stores:
- iPhone SE
- iPhone 6
- iPhone 6 Plus
- iPhone 6s
- iPhone 6s Plus
- iPhone 7
- iPhone 7 Plus
Please note the information on this page is in regard to the above models only. Any other model is subject to different pricing and longer turn around times.
A battery does not have to be failed or consumed to be eligible for this program, but please note some pre-existing issues with your iPhone may cause your phone to be ineligible for replacement including but not specifically if any previous battery service has occured by a third-party, non-Apple authorised repair centre or if the screen is damaged to a point where it would be difficult or impossible for us to replace the battery.
Our current turn around in all store locations for an iPhone battery replacement is 2-3 working days with an appointment and 5-7 working days if no appointment is made.
We will endevour to process your repair as quickly and efficently as possible but please be aware that there may be some delays due to high demand for this program. The program will run until at least December 2018 so we advise customers that they may want to avoid the initial rush where a replacement is not immediately necessary.
What you need to do
Book an appointment for service via Apple's service portal at https://locate.apple.com/ie/en/ - this will direct you to all the available service centres in Ireland, choose your local Compu b store and an available time slot. Please note you will need your Apple ID and password in order to do this. If you call in to store without an appointment we cannot guarantee service and you may be advised to return at a later time when an appointment is available.
When you call in to store, we will run a quick diagnostics at the service desk to ensure your iPhone is eligible. If your battery is in stock we will book it in and it to the current service queue (ETAs stated above). If your battery is not in stock, we will give you some documentation to confirm your battery has been ordered. You can then leave with your iPhone and we will call you when your battery arrives to advise you to return to store to be fitted.
Things to note
Please note our technicians work Monday - Friday, 9am to 6pm. Devices can be booked in during the weekend but will not be looked at until at least the following working day.
